The Department of Justice (DOJ) announced on April 14 that the Capitol Police officer who shot dead an Air Force veteran will not be charged. On the same day the Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, police officer who fatally shot a 20-year-old black man during an April 11 traffic stop was arrested and charged with second-degree manslaughter. Is this a double standard?
